Speaking
The opportunity to inspire colleagues through teaching, mentoring, and coaching is one of the best parts of my job. Since the beginning of my career, I have enjoyed sharing my research through keynote addresses and at national and international research settings. Because I conduct research in partnership with community collaborators, I also regularly make presentations to small and large lay audiences. In leadership development workshops, I effectively integrate well-tested leadership competencies with competencies in social justice and equity to build skills for today’s leaders. In all of these settings, I use clear, thoughtful, provocative, and energizing communication to share complex concepts and push the listener to think more critically and expansively.
